Terms of Service

1. Who we are
LockIn is an iOS app operated by Lukáš Hellesch ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected]. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
2. The service
LockIn lets you block distracting apps on your own device using Apple's Screen Time frameworks and form accountability "pacts" with friends who approve or deny your requests to unlock. The service is provided free of charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
3. Your account
You sign in with your Apple account. You must be at least 17 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete Account); deletion is permanent.
4. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no attempts to disrupt, reverse the access controls of, or spam other users through the service; no impersonation; no unlawful content in pact names, display names, or request messages. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
5. No guarantees
LockIn is a self-control tool, not a parental-control or security product. App blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time frameworks and your device settings, and can be circumvented by you (for example by removing the app or revoking Screen Time permission). The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
